Sensei Shauna Carroll
Sensei Shauna Carroll has won European and World Championships multiple times in multiple governing bodies as a child, junior and adult. She continues to compete at the apex of Karate Kumite.

Sensei Shauna began training with Sensei Ian when she was 7 years old, although she had initially only gone to watch her younger brother participate as he wanted to be a Power Ranger. Ian however, has other ideas; having previously taught both her mum and her nan, he persuaded her to join in with the lesson. From then she went on to achieve her 1st Dan aged 13 and is currently a 4th Dan.
Being from a highly competitive family, sport karate- more specifically Kumite, was something Sensei Shauna embraced almost instantly. Despite her success in and her love for sport Karate, it is the respect and discipline that Karate requires that she feels is the most important aspect of Karate.

"Respect and discipline are an integral part of life, from childhood right the way through to adulthood. When learning Karate with UKA you have respect both for yourself and for others drilled into you from the very first lesson."
