Sensei Meenhaz Janar
Sensei Meenhaz’s journey through Karate has given him many learning opportunities. Having started in a local club, Meenhaz achieved his black belt at aged 15. He dedicated himself to his training and was always keen to learn more and be the best that he could be. Something in the system did not feel right and Sensei Meenhaz spent many years searching for a better way. The hunger for competition success just seemed to always be out of his reach.
Things drastically changed in 2014 when Sensei Meenhaz went along to a Karate England training session with Sensei Ian. Since then he has won national and international titles as an individual and team. In 2019 he became –65kg Individual and team champion.
Sensei Meenhaz believes that a good instructor and hardwork are the key ingredients to success. He believes that anyone can achieve anything ‘you just have to be prepared to do more than anyone else to get it’. The fun he has in Karate is something that he wants to give back to his local community so that young people and adults can have as much fun as he has doing Karate.
